Azerbaijan and Russia sign Joint Statement within the VII International St. Petersburg Cultural Forum
On November 16, Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev and Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinskiy held a bilateral meeting.
After the meeting, the sides signed a Joint Statement on the representation of Azerbaijan in the status of "honorary guest country" in the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum in 2020.
It should be noted that, the status of "Honorary Guest Country" creates wide opportunities for the promotion of Azerbaijani culture that would be held through various events during the forum.
Attending the signing ceremony ministers of both countries, also Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Olga Golodets, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Azerbaijan, Polad Bulbuloglu, expressed their satisfaction for the continuation of the rapid development and deepening of the bilateral cultural relations and historical closeness of the two states.
Later, Minister Abulfas Garayev met with the Director of the Saint Petersburg Music Lyceum, Vitaly Romanov.
On the second day of VII Saint-Petersburg International Cultural Forum, Minister Garayev has also attended a plenary session on "Creative Environment and Urbanism", on Asif Khan’s contemporary architectural trends and also other lectures.
